In 2015, the Lancet, one of the most important scientific journals, reported that venous thromboembolism still represents the leading cause of preventable hospital deaths. Given that recognition of the signs and symptoms of this venous disease is key to prevention of a fatal outcome, raising of awareness among both the public and medical professionals is of the utmost importance. A full call to arms against this venous disease is crucial. Based on this call, Venous World International Network foundation (vWIN) created two veonus awareness questionnaires: one for the health professionals and one for the public. The answers to the the 18 questions are automatically provided with the questionnaire, together with pertinent literature references. All the ones who fill in the questionnaires are eligible for a raffle prize, in the form of a trip to the next vWIN international event (Latin America, USA, Europe, Asia), based on the winner choice.
En el año 2015, Lancet, una de las más importantes revistas científicas, informó que el tromboembolismo venoso representa todavía la primera causa de muerte hospitalaria prevenible. Dado que el reconocimiento de los signos y síntomas de esta enfermedad venosa es clave en la prevención de un resultado fatal, promover la toma de conciencia tanto entre el público en general como entre los profesionales médicos es de la mayor importancia. Un pleno compromiso de protegernos de esta enfermedad venosa es crucial. Basados en este compromiso, La Fundación de la Red Mundial Internacioanl en enfermedades venosas (vWIN) ha creado dos cuestionarios de concientización: uno para los profesionales de la salud y uno para el público en general. Las respuestas a las 18 preguntas se encuentran online al final de los mismos cuestionarios. Todas las personas que completan los cuestionarios participarán del sorteo por un viaje al próximo evento Internacional de la Red vWIN foundation (Latin America, USA, Europe, Asia) de acuerdo con la voluntad del ganador.
Nel 2015, il Lancet, una delle più prestigiose riviste scientifiche al mondo, ha relazionato circa il tromboembolismo venoso quale causa principale di decesso prevedibile ospedaliero. Un adeguato stile di vita e l’utilizzo di strumenti preventivi/terapeutici adeguati sono fondamentali, quanto la necessità di far crescere la consapevolezza della patologia venosa, tanto fra il personale sanitario quanto fra il pubblico. La Venous World International Network foundation ha risposto a tale chiamata creando due questionari: uno dedicato al personale sanitario, uno dedicato al pubblico. Le 18 domande trovano le relative risposte al termine del questionario online. Coloro i quali risponderanno al questionario parteciperanno all’estrazione annuale di un viaggio educazionale, con destinazione in uno dei prossimi eventi internazionali della vWIN (Latin America, USA, Europe, Asia), in base alla volontà del vincitore.
